Barbara Bennett has studied Body-Centered Gestalt Therapy for twelve years at Hartford Family Institute. She returned to school in 2003 to complete her BA and is currently finishing her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Central Connecticut State University. Barbara’s focus has been on creating a balance between her academic, professional and personal life. She has come to see blocks to writing and learning as doorways to creativity and general well-being.

Rabbi Donna Berman, Ph.D., is Rabbi Emerita of Port Jewish Center, in Port Washington, New York and now serves as the Executive Director of the Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Donna went back to school at age 37 to get her doctorate in Religion and Social Ethics from Drew University. She has taught at Molloy College, Wesleyan University and Hartford Seminary. A social activist, she has committed her life to finding ways to help empower women.
